WHAT have I got to share

It’s been a while since I got a hold of this domain. It has been even longer that I have contemplated starting my own blog. Why? Because I am/was not sure my story was one to be told. Here on the internet there are people with these amazing or special lives. Living the dream, sharing how they got there and taking every reader on this magical journey.

What have I got to share, kept ringing in my mind. Yes my life is a little bit different from others, but is it worth writing about?

I am still not sure, but here we go:

My name is Stéphanie, I am 24 years old, married to Niels who is 41 years old (yes big age difference, no I don’t mind - he is amazing). We live in the Netherlands but were planning on moving to the United States before Covid19 hit…… so who knows where we’ll end up.

On the 20th of May 2020 our lives were changed forever, our son Kevin was born!  He has had a tough start which challenged Niels and me in so many ways. We haven’t quite figured it out and I doubt we ever will (is there even such a thing as smooth sailing when it comes to having a kid?) In the meantime we try our best and are learning along the way.

We  have always loved “the cowboy” way of life and try to live our version of that here in the Netherlands. Which means we spend a lot of time outside,  play in the hay, build things instead of buying them and are not scared to get our hands dirty. This is the way we want to raise our son: loving nature and being outside with the animals.

Like I said, maybe I don’t have this glamorous life. But I think, if you bear with me, that I do have something to share!
